Elin Winkler's Fehnnik as a sculpy sculpture, just under 7 inches high. Hope to have a final version to produce as a resin casting. I haven't done much sculpting before so this is all test and experiment with techniques and the medium.

Trying some sculpture in sculpy. Each head is something over an inch in diameter. The black and white ones are variations on Furtech's crazydog Apache.

Teaching navigation in old Fehnnia by stevegallacci

Another Fehnnik image. Much like nautical navigation, being able to travel the trackless deserts needs accurate guidance. That and Fehnniks had an intense interest in astronomy with its connections to astrology and religion. So very elaborate instruments, along with time tables assembled over centuries of observations, could derive location and time/date with great aaccuracy.

Experiment with media and effect. A "Tales of the Fehnnik" style character with dramatic moon rise behind him. Airbrushed acrylic base with underdrawing and under and over coloring in watercolor, using clear acrylic airbrushed on each layer to stabilize them and avoild unwanted mixing.

As a big fan of Elin Winkler's "Tales of the Fehnnik" I've been doing all kinds of illos and concept art. This is a poor scan of a very large(18x24) watercolor on canvas of a Fehnnik Family on a pilgramage, finding shelterr in a rock formation during the heat of the day.
