As a big fan of Elin Winkler's "Tales of the Fehnnik" I've been doing all kinds of illos and concept art.
This is a poor scan of a very large(18x24) watercolor on canvas of a Fehnnik Family on a pilgramage, finding shelterr in a rock formation during the heat of the day.

I love the lighting/composition here... very effective 'heat of the day' scene in the shade. Nice textures, as well. =)

This reminds me a lot of Arizona. Gads, I can almost feel that heat. I know how they feel. When it's that hot all you want to do is rest.
